Planting the Seeds of Anti-Oppression
January 11, 6pm – 8:30pm
Systemic imbalances of power exist in our society. Recognizing how these imbalances influence group dynamics is an important skill for facilitators, group members, and community members at large. In this 2.5 hour workshop utilizing discussion and experiential learning, participants will reflect on their personal relationship to power and have an opportunity to broaden their perspectives on inclusion, power, equity and how to work together.
Principles of Peer Support
Jan 19, 1-3:30pm – We are working on ASL for this workshop but it is unconfirmed.
Are you starting a new group, or is the group you work with needing a framework for understanding how you work together? The principles of peer support are the foundational elements for creating successful peer-led groups. In this 2.5 hour workshop, participants will be introduced to these principles, identify the differences between groups that are peer-led and those that are not, and learn how to create authentic and well-functioning peer support groups based on these principles.
Nuts and Bolts of Facilitation
